ANCIENT EGYPTIAN MEDICINE
Egyptian Medicine was quite advanced. They knew disease could be treated with drugs and they recognised the healing potential of massage and aromas. They had male and female doctors, understood about germs and the importance of cleanliness.
The death rate after surgeries in Ancient Egypt was probably less than any European hospital until the middle 20th of the century
Doctorś were known as wabau meaning ritually pure. Each doctor had their own speciality but there were also general practitioners , sau who used magic, midwives, masseurs, nurses, attendants and seers who told about the future.
